2015 Activities

The Greater Sacramento Region's DSN offered a CyberPatriot Training Workshop for new and current coaches on Oct. 3, 2015 for Season VIII.

The Greater Sacramento Regional Summer 2015 CyberCamps featured three days of no-cost introductory cybersecurity training. Instruction was led by community college faculty and high school teachers. Training modules developed by the CyberPatriot Program covered a variety of topics including system hardening, access control, and system protection. The three-day program ended with team competitions and an awards ceremony sponsored by the local chapter of the Air Force Association.

In addition to continuing the activities identified during 2014, an additional focus will be added on the Business Information Worker. In concert with ICT faculty from across the Region, the possibility of implementating a uniform statewide Business Information Worker (BIW) pathway that defines a series of job skills that meet employer needs will be assessed. See http://ict-dm.net/biw-landing for more information.
